I arrive back at my tent and prepare my backpack for the afternoon hike up to an old mine in the Bighorn Basin area

It's turning out to be a warm day, mid 80s again: I just drank a litre of water during my walk over to Coyote Springs, in addition to the water in my soup and coffee from earlier this morning.

My backpack contains the usual items: epipens in case of yellow-jacket sting, sweater, flashlight, three Clif bars, dried apricots, camera batteries, water filter in case I find water, empty water bottle, and a full 1.5-litre water bottle. I wear my full 2-litre Camelbak under my backpack.
