I'm happy to wake up and find myself at Mid Hills campground, Mojave National Preserve

I lose a layer of dirt, sweat and sunscreen as I wash myself down for the first time since leaving Baker; it feels great.

Always a nice place to wake up. It was cool overnight and I slept incredibly well. Other than some tired muscles from yesterday's climb up from Kelso, I'm surprised that I feel in good shape this morning.
