Perhaps I could have bike-camped here and purified the water with my water filter. I had been worried that there might not be water here. Mojave National Preserve is so large that staff usually doesn't know if smaller springs like this contain water.

Mojave National Preserve is not a backpacker-friendly park in that respect.
