I ride back to Barstow's Route 66 through residential areas and coast down a nice hill on my way out of town

Along the way, I stop at Barstow Station to pick up a bottle of cognac to keep me warm during the cold nights ahead. There's even a begrudgingly skinny bike lane for a few blocks on Barstow's Route 66.
