I'm working up a bit of a sweat, feeling rather out-of-shape and not used to the hot weather and the weight of the 10-ton bike yet. I'm disciplining myself to drink lots of water to stay hydrated, which needs to become habitual on warm-weather trips like this with lots of exertion.

I camped once at this location during my 2006 Mojave National Preserve trip.
