The last couple of miles toward Woods Wash are a bit sandy in places, but rough enough to provide traction for a mountain bike

This is turning out better than expected. Many unmaintained desert roads become a big sand trap once they hit a wash area, but this one only gets bad at the very end. My fat 2.3" tires do help on roads like this!
