After crossing Crescent Pass on Nevada 164, I'm coasting downhill when I see this huge joshua tree by the highway

How old is this joshua tree, given that they only grow a few inches per year? I'm riding downhill now, into a chilly headwind. Where did that nice tailwind go that helped push me up the hill?
