I set up the tent in the shade of Nipton's eucalyptus trees by the train tracks, like I did a few days ago

Due to the lower elevation, it's predictably warmer down here than it was up at Malpais Spring, but still comfortable at around 80 degrees. I'm lucky because it's often hotter at this time of year.
