I slam on the brakes while coasting down to a wash crossing on Brant Road, due to a "special rock" in the road

It's not a rock, but a tortoise, the first one I've ever seen. I haven't seen a car on this road yet today, but he's resting in one of Brant Road's two tire tracks.
