The ride back up the Cedar Canyon-Black Canyon cutoff road is slow, but easier than expected

The grade is not steep and my oversized Serfas Swoop tires really help maintain traction on the awkward surface. A lot of the grass-like wands growing along here are desert mallows which would have been covered with bright-orange flowers a month ago.
