I'm still a couple of miles away from Cornfield Spring when I notice a small clearing that might make a good campsite

I'm exhausted and not thrilled by the idea of hiking the 10-ton bike a couple more miles. The opening here in the creosote bush scrub is the perfect size for a campsite, so I stop here for the night. I can walk up to the spring tomorrow.
