For safety reasons, I give up on the idea of hiking up Robison Mountain and continue backtracking along Orestimba Creek Road

This hike is still really enjoyable, but it's always disappointing for a hiker to not reach a foreseen destination. Then again, that leaves a goal to reach during the next trip!
