Much of Borrego Canyon is rocky and brushy like here, offering no obviously good hiking route up the canyon

Sometimes I walk along the edge of the rocky canyon floor to avoid the biggest accumulations of rocks and vegetation, but sometimes that gets too steep and I return to the rocky channel.
