Upper Black Canyon Road narrows somewhat before it crosses through the pass ahead at just under 5350 feet elevation
This is my high-elevation point for the day; it will be mostly downhill from now on. I most often ride through the pass here around sunset, on return rides to Mid Hills Campground, so it feels unusual for me to be riding here at midday.
